From February 25 to March 3, 2025, Milan will once again transform into the global fashion capital, hosting its highly anticipated Fashion Week dedicated to the Autumn/Winter 2025/26 collections. With over 153 events, including runway shows, digital presentations, and exclusive gatherings, this edition promises to be an extraordinary celebration of creativity, blending the legacy of historic maisons with the fresh energy of emerging designers.
A Bold Opening: Gucci Takes the Lead
Breaking from tradition, this year’s Milan Fashion Week will not begin with Fendi, as in previous years, but with Gucci. On February 25, the iconic Florentine maison will set the stage with a co-ed runway show, merging womenswear and menswear in what promises to be a groundbreaking event. All eyes will be on Gucci, as this will be its first show following the recent departure of creative director Sabato De Sarno, marking the beginning of a new era for the brand.
The Return of Icons and Fashion Powerhouses
Alongside emerging voices, some of fashion’s most legendary houses will also take center stage. This year’s calendar features a perfect balance of past and future, with 56 physical runway shows and 6 digital presentations, promising to captivate audiences with bold and visionary collections.
Following his grand New York showcase last October, Giorgio Armani returns to Milan, ready to unveil a collection that is expected to be nothing short of mesmerizing. Another highly anticipated comeback is MSGM, which, after a few seasons of private presentations, will return to the runway format, reaffirming its status as a key player in Italian fashion.
Fashion enthusiasts can also look forward to the latest collections from industry titans like Fendi, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, and Giorgio Armani, as well as other renowned brands such as Max Mara, Etro, Tod’s, Jil Sander, and Ferragamo.
New Creative Directions & Rising Stars
While established brands continue to shape the industry, Milan Fashion Week 2025 will also be a launchpad for fresh talent. One of the most anticipated debuts is Fiorucci, making its first appearance on the Milanese runway. Emerging designers like Francesco Murano—winner of the Camera Moda Fashion Trust Grant 2024—along with Giuseppe di Morabito, Institution by Galib Gassanoff, and J. Salinas, are set to bring innovation and youthful energy to the event.
Among the most awaited debuts is that of Susan Fang, who, with the support of Dolce & Gabbana, is poised to introduce a fresh perspective to the global fashion scene.
Blumarine & Alberta Ferretti: A New Era Begins
Creative transformations are also a highlight of this year’s edition. On February 27, David Koma will unveil his first collection for Blumarine, bringing his modern and ultra-feminine vision to the brand. Meanwhile, at Alberta Ferretti, Lorenzo Serafini will present his highly anticipated debut, marking a new chapter for the maison following the departure of its legendary founder in September 2024.
Milan Reaffirms Its Global Influence
With support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ICE Agency, and the Municipality of Milan, this year’s Fashion Week is set to deliver a spectacular lineup of events. Balancing heritage and innovation, Milan continues to cement its reputation as the epicenter of global fashion, offering an unparalleled platform for both established names and rising stars.
With 153 total appointments, including 23 special events, Milan once again proves why it remains at the forefront of the fashion world.
